Stora Skuggan was easier for me to admire than to wear. Fantôme de Maules was the exception.

Stora Skuggan is one of those houses I found easier to admire than to wear. The ideas are strong, the compositions are distinctive, and the collection never feels generic. Personal chemistry still matters, though, and most of the fragrances did not pull me back the way Fantôme de Maules did.
Fantôme de Maules was the clear standout for me. There is something immediately familiar about its green, aromatic freshness. It touches the same part of my brain that responds to classics like Acqua di Giò, but it is greener, stranger, and far more textured.
This is not a substitute or a copy. Bergamot, galbanum, green leaves, lavender, cardamom, woods, moss, and vetiver push that approachable masculine freshness into something more botanical and eccentric. It remains easy to wear in normal daily life without losing the peculiar personality that makes Stora Skuggan interesting.
The supplied community reference places Fantôme de Maules at 3.7 out of 5 from 444 ratings, with roughly six hours of longevity and moderate sillage. It leans green, aromatic, and woody, and its daylight and spring profile matches the way I would naturally wear it.
At 8.4/10, Fantôme de Maules is the fragrance from this collection that I actually wanted to wear again. It gives me the recognizable confidence of a fresh masculine fragrance, then replaces the expected smoothness with leaves, woods, texture, and a sense of the outdoors.
