About The Cabinet

The Cabinet is the retail offering of The Oakmoss & Ivy, operated by [insert legal seller name and registered trade-name details], based in Alabama, United States.

These terms govern purchases made through The Cabinet.

The Oakmoss & Ivy's editorial publication and The Cabinet's retail operation are related but distinct. An editorial review, recommendation, or feature does not establish that a product is available for purchase or that we have an authorized retail relationship with its manufacturer.

Eligibility to Purchase

Customers must be legally able to enter into a purchase agreement in their jurisdiction or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian where legally required.

Customers must provide accurate information and use a payment method they are authorized to use.

Product Authenticity and Authorization

We intend to offer only genuine merchandise obtained through authorized commercial arrangements.

A product will not be listed for sale until the relevant supply and fulfillment arrangements have been established.

We do not knowingly sell counterfeit goods or represent unauthorized relationships as authorized.

Product Descriptions

We aim to describe products accurately, including relevant sizes, materials, finishes, fragrance concentrations, quantities, and available manufacturer information.

Colors, textures, and finishes may appear differently across screens.

Fragrance descriptions and editorial opinions involve sensory judgment and may differ between individuals.

Relevant product-specific limitations, warnings, care instructions, and warranty details should be reviewed before purchasing.

If a material listing error affects an order, we will contact the customer and provide the appropriate correction, cancellation, or refund.

Pricing and Payment

Unless stated otherwise, prices are displayed in U.S. dollars.

Applicable taxes, shipping charges, and other mandatory fees will be disclosed before the customer authorizes payment.

Payments will be processed through our configured checkout and payment service providers.

We reserve the right to correct pricing or listing mistakes and, where appropriate, decline or cancel an affected order before fulfillment. If payment has already been captured for a cancelled order, the applicable amount will be promptly refunded.

We will not increase the price of an accepted order without the customer's agreement.

Order Acceptance and Availability

An automated order acknowledgment confirms that an order request has been received. It does not necessarily mean that the order has passed final inventory, payment, fraud-prevention, or fulfillment checks.

We may decline orders for legitimate reasons, including unavailable stock, invalid payment authorization, shipping restrictions, suspected fraud, or material listing errors.

Any payment captured for an order we cancel will be refunded as required by law.

Order Changes and Cancellations

Contact customer support promptly if an order must be corrected or cancelled.

We will attempt to accommodate changes before dispatch. Once an order enters fulfillment, changes may no longer be possible.

Cancellation and refund rights required by law remain unaffected.

Product-Specific Conditions

Fragrances and cosmetics: Products must be used and stored according to their labels. Individual scent preference and personal reactions are not guarantees of suitability.

Watches: Water resistance, movement type, battery life, power reserve, materials, and warranty coverage depend on the particular product. Descriptions supplied by the manufacturer should be consulted before use.

Jewelry: Metal composition, plating, gemstones, treatments, measurements, and care requirements will be described using verified information. We do not guarantee that a material will be suitable for every person's skin.

Apparel: Fit, care, textile composition, and country-of-origin information will be provided in accordance with applicable requirements.

Personalized items: Customers are responsible for reviewing submitted text, selected sizes, and customization instructions before production begins. Errors attributable to our business or fulfillment partners remain our responsibility.

Prohibited Conduct

Customers may not use the website to commit fraud, interfere with its security, misuse other customers' information, or conduct unlawful transactions.

We may restrict access or refuse transactions where reasonably necessary to protect the business, customers, or payment systems, subject to applicable law.

Intellectual Property

The Oakmoss & Ivy's original articles, photography, editorial branding, layout, and other original content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Brand names, product marks, and logos remain the property of their respective owners.

Purchasing a product does not grant permission to reproduce our editorial material or use another company's trademarks.

Customer Reviews and Feedback

Customers are free to express honest opinions about products and purchasing experiences.

We do not require favorable reviews or prohibit truthful criticism.

We may moderate content for unlawful material, impersonation, spam, threats, privacy violations, or other legitimate reasons, but will not manipulate reviews to create a misleading impression of customer satisfaction.

Third-Party Services

Our store may use third-party payment, shipping, website, and fulfillment services.

Those services may have their own policies. Where applicable, we will identify material third-party conditions before purchase.

Links leading to another seller's separate checkout will be clearly distinguishable from purchases completed through The Cabinet.

Disclaimers and Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted website availability or that every displayed product will remain available indefinitely.

We are not responsible for losses caused solely by events beyond our reasonable control where the law permits such limitations.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including legally protected claims for defective products, fraud, personal injury, or other nonwaivable consumer rights.

Any additional contractual limitation of liability must comply with applicable law.

Governing Law

These terms are generally governed by applicable United States federal law and the laws of Alabama, subject to mandatory consumer protection laws and jurisdictional rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

Disputes should first be raised through customer support so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve them.

Nothing in this section prevents customers from exercising lawful payment-dispute rights or pursuing remedies available under applicable law.

Policy Changes

We may update these terms to reflect changes in our operations, suppliers, or legal requirements.

Material changes will be dated and made available on the website. Updated terms will not be applied retroactively to remove rights attached to an earlier purchase.
